Est. 2026 · Ian Macleod Distillers · Islay's 11th distillery

Laggan Bay is Islay's 11th distillery, opened by Ian Macleod Distillers on 2 April 2026. The family-owned distillery filled its first cask on opening day under the watch of distillery manager Malcolm Rennie, an Islay native with decades of experience in Scotch whisky production. Named after the windswept coastline on the south of the island, Laggan Bay emphasises clarity of spirit and balance of flavour, with a focus on sustainable environmental management including on-site wetlands to support local wildlife. The distillery's logo was inspired by the bottlenose dolphins that frequent the bay.
